Christmas Party Lunch / Dinner Menu*

Amuse Bouche


Cream of Jerusalem artichoke soup

Posh pâté with brioche and homemade apple chutney

Winter salad with roasted heritage beetroot, butternut squash and Buffalo Mozzarella

Crepe with smoked salmon, dill and sour cream sauce


Traditional Christmas roast local turkey and trimmings

Wild mushroom risotto with aged Parmesan and white truffle oil

Fillet of Salcombe sea bass with green beans, new potatoes and lemon oil

Slow roasted Kelmscott pork belly with Ramsey black pudding and Puy lentils


Oxford Arms sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream

Flourless clementine cake with marmalade ice cream

Chocolate and Grand Marnier mousse with berries

Cheese plate with oatcakes and apple

A selection of award-winning Dorset organic ice creams and sorbets


Price per person: 2 courses for £27 or 3 courses for £30.00

10% service charge will be added to your final bill

  • Menu may be subject to slight changes
  • This package is subject of a minimum 6 people.
  • Menu choice needs to be booked 2 weeks in advance
  • Tea and coffee or any other drinks (alcoholic or soft beverages) are not part of this package and available at a separate cost.
  • If someone from your party has special dietary requirements, please let us know and we’ll adapt the menu for them
  • We kindly accept no individual payments, maximum 3 payment cards per table


Booking / Cancellation Policy for Christmas Party Lunch / Dinner:

Please note that a £10.00 deductible from the final bill but not refundable deposit per person will be required when booking to secure your date, time and table. To process your booking we will need your credit  / debit card details.

A cancellation fee of £20.00 per person will be made to your credit / debit card, in the event of less than 14 days notice given of any cancellation, reduction of number of guests or amendments.

A cancellation fee of £30.00 per person will be made to your credit / debit card, on the day of the event given of any cancellation, reduction of number of guests or amendments.

However, if we are able to resell your table to a group of the same size we will be happy to waive the charge.

Thursday - Saturday

Lunch 12 noon - 3 pm (food order from 12 noon to 1:30 pm)
Dinner  6 pm - 10 pm (food order from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm)

Closed Monday - Wednesday all day, Sunday evenings, bank holiday evenings, Christmas Day evening and New Year's Day evening.

NB! The Oxford Arms is suitable for over 12 y.o. only.

Opening Hours Update:

We'll be closed from Monday, the 3rd of January till Thursday, the 13th of January. We'll re-open from Friday lunch, the 14th of January.


The Oxford Arms is an award-winning XIX century dining pub in Oxfordshire run by chef patron Bryn Jones since 2003.

We serve good, honest food with a minimum of fuss and maximum flavour.

The menu changes seasonably with daily specials to use even more local produce (some of the ingredients are from our organic Kitchen Garden and Kirtlington village itself).

Our real log fire will keep you warm in winter and our beautiful garden patio will keep you cool during hot summer days.

You will be looked after from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave.
