Celebrate Scotland’s most famous poet Robert Burns with haggis, neeps and tatties with whisky gravy followed by a slice of walnut and whisky tart. Sadly for us, you will have to provide your own Scotch whisky to toast the Haggis.

Due to increased demand from a wider area, we have now created dishes which can be warmed up when you get home or saved for the next day. We’ve already done all the cooking for you, no preparation required – you just need to reheat.
If you see these pictograms    next to a dish, it means it’s suitable for reheating at home or keeping for the next day. Instructions will be on top of each takeaway box.

Weekly menus are sent out at 9 am every Wednesday.

This menu is pre-order only. Orders including Sunday lunch need to be placed by 6pm Thursday because of the fresh ingredients have to be ordered and prepared. Ordering later we cannot guarantee full selection from the menu. For availability please check the website before ordering.

Available for collection only between 6pm and 8pm on Friday and Saturday and between 12pm and 2pm on Sunday.

You do not need to bring your own containers because we shall pack everything into special compostable and eco-friendly takeaway boxes and bags. You can bring your own carrier bags.

We try to minimise any contact and therefore, please read carefully the below instructions.

Collection: collection point is from the garden patio area through the back gate. We must kindly ask you to come on time. We finalise and pack your food when we see you arrive which usually takes 2-3 mins. Being late may mean you loose your time-slot and have to wait until the next available time.

Payment: We are kindly asking you to make pre-payment over the phone when ordering or you can bring cash with you on the day of collection. If cash, then exact money would be preferred.

NB! The Oxford Arms is suitable for over people aged 12 and over only.

Opening Hours Update:

Due to the announcement made by the Government on the 4th of January 2021, we, along with every other pub and restaurant in the country, will be closed until further notice.

Good news that we’ll be offering our EAT OUT AT HOME by Bryn Jones® Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday lunch.

The Oxford Arms is an award-winning XIX century dining pub in Oxfordshire run by chef patron Bryn Jones since 2003.

We serve good, honest food with a minimum of fuss and maximum flavour.

The menu changes seasonably with daily specials to use even more local produce (some of the ingredients are from our organic Kitchen Garden and Kirtlington village itself).

Our real log fire will keep you warm in winter and our beautiful garden patio will keep you cool during hot summer days.

You will be looked after from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave.
